About Me
Hello, I am Dr. George Pappas PT, DPT. I am the owner and lead physical therapist of Pathos Physical Therapy. I completed my undergraduate experience at the University of South Florida in Tampa and my Doctorate at the University of St. Augustine. I have spent my clinical experience working with patients with a wide array of conditions including neurological, orthopedic, vestibular, and other general impairments. I have a deep passion for what I do, and I hope to spread that passion amongst my patients and other clinicians.
The Story of Pathos PT
The Greek word πάθος, or páthos, translates to passion. I believe that all good therapists have a passion for what they do and assist patients in participating in what they are passionate about. Walking into the world of physical therapy, I have seen the good, the bad, and the ugly of the profession. Many PT mills create a productivity focused practice that want to see as many patients per hour as possible with their mindset on reimbursements and profit rather than the patients' recovery goals being met. This leads to patients losing time and money and unfortunately leaving a negative image of physical therapy as a whole.
Pathos Physical Therapy's mission is to provide affordable cash based, direct access, outpatient physical therapy services to all patients to achieve recovery goals in fewer visits and to educate on the prevention of re-injury. I plan to share this mission amongst other therapists to help reshape our profession to being more goal oriented and patient centered again. I seek to bring the passion back into physical therapy.
