Payments Accepted
We currently accept direct payments or Medicare Part B for outpatient services. If you have insurance, we can still bill out of network and you can be eligible for direct reimbursement.
Cash Pay
Direct payment can be made by cash, card, check, and other contactless methods. Utilizing your insurance can greatly discount your total bill as well.
Medicare Part B
Medicare Part B covers outpatient skilled physical therapy services. Medicare Supplements and FSA/HSA are accepted as well.
What is Direct Access?
In the State of Florida, all patients are able to receive skilled physical therapy services without a physician's referral for up to 30 days. By the 30 day mark, your plan of care established by the physical therapist will be submitted to your primary care physician for review and to be signed off to allow therapy to continue.

This sequence of medical care is very effective in speeding up patient recovery time by allowing the patient to begin treatment for their injury immediately and lessening the amount of total medical appointments.

Why Cash Pay?
Pathos PT essentially bills in the opposite direction as insurance providers. The therapist bills the patient and insurance reimburses the patient, rather than the insurance billing the patient and insurance reimbursing the therapist.

I am sure you are asking, why choose to charge direct payment rather than becoming an in-network provider with various insurance companies? Here are the reasons:
-
Income/Business revenue relies on what insurance chooses to reimburse for said services. No variation or dictation on what Physical Therapy is worth.
-
Not limited by insurance's "allowed visits".
-
More freedom in treatment methods and focus on quality of care.
-
Fixed visit rate allows 1:1 patient to therapist care for full 60 minute sessions while keeping the business operational. No need to double or triple book patients to make ends meet.
-
Overall decreased hassle and stress on the practitioner and more time and freedom to focus on quality of care and evidence-based treatments.
